Biomass energy plant

Back

In the biomass energy plant we incinerate non-recyclable waste wood and produce energy in the form of steam, electricity and district heat. Non-recyclable wood is wood that has been painted, chipboard and plywood. We also filter out pieces of wood that are too big.

The approved waste wood is incinerated and the heat released during the process is converted into steam that will be used to generate electricity. Local businesses can also use the steam in their production processes and since 2018 we have also supplied district heat from the BEC. Our BEC enables us to process, in a sustainable way, waste wood that would otherwise remain a contaminated product.
